Thai AirAsia received an Honorary Certificate for "Thailand Culture for SDGs Awards 2025" under the Village to the World project

In October, Thai AirAsia received an Honorary Certificate for "Thailand Culture for SDGs Awards 2025 from the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture, under the “Village to the World” initiative.
The award recognises Thai AirAsia's continuous commitment in driving the Journey D project under the “Village to the World #SustainableAgenda” concept. This initiative emphasises sustainable development of Lampang Municipality through cultural dimensions, in line with the UNESCO Culture 2030 Indicators. This commitment is carried out in conjunction with the Department of Cultural Promotion, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), and the Siam Cement Group (SCG) to sustainably elevate community-based tourism in Lampang province.
Thai AirAsia collaborated with the Tha Ma O and Pong Sanuk Nuea communities to develop them as model cultural tourism routes in line with UNESCO Culture 2030 guidelines, through four capacity-building workshops conducted with the communities and partners in Lampang and Bangkok.
Afterwards, in July, the communities applied this knowledge to organise the traditional “Yok Khun Mae Nam Wang” festival, with close participation from Thai AirAsia executives and staff, to preserve and promote local cultural heritage.
