Thai AirAsia Receives TGO’s LESS Certificate, Meeting ESG Criteria with KBank

26 March 2026 – Through the implementation of the "Zero Waste to Landfill" project from 1 January to 31 December 2025, Thai AirAsia successfully mitigated greenhouse gas emissions by up to 658.317 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. As a result, the airline officially received a Certificate of Recognition for this initiative under the Low Emission Support Scheme (LESS) from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) on 26 March 2026.
This achievement fulfills a key ESG milestone established with Kasikornbank (KBank). The certification serves as a formal reference enabling the airline to secure specialised benefits in foreign exchange risk management (FX Hedging), in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed with KBank last year. This success underscores Thai AirAsia’s concrete commitment to minimising its environmental impact and driving the aviation industry toward a sustainable, low-carbon future.
