AirAsia launches latest route between Bangkok (Don Mueang) and Hai Phong, Vietnam Now operates the most direct flights from Bangkok to destinations across Vietnam

Bangkok, 16 July 2025 – AirAsia today officially launched its inaugural direct flight between Bangkok (Don Mueang) and the city of Hai Phong in Vietnam, offering travelers four weekly flights on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

To celebrate the first flight, warm welcome activities were held at both Don Mueang Airport and Hai Phong International Airport. The new route proved to be popular and received strong response from both Thai and Vietnamese travelers.

Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO of Thai AirAsia, said: “Vietnam remains one of AirAsia’s key strategic markets and has presented us with strong growth prospects. As we continue to enhance our network, guests can look out for more travel options covering even more destinations across the region,” he added.

Hai Phong, located in Northern Vietnam is just a 50-minute drive to the world-famous Ha Long Bay. The city is known for its unique character, delicious local cuisine, and growing tourism potential.

To mark the new route, AirAsia is offering promotional one way fares starting from only THB 1,790. Tickets can be booked from 16–27 July 2025 for travel between 28 July and 24 October 2025 via AirAsia MOVE or www.airasia.com.

Thai AirAsia operates the most direct flights from Bangkok to Vietnam, covering six cities: Hanoi (up to 21 flights/week), Ho Chi Minh City (up to 25 flights/week), Da Nang (up to 21 flights/week), Nha Trang (up to 7 flights/week), Phu Quoc (up to 7 flights/week), Hai Phong (4 flights/week – new) as well as Chiang Mai to Hanoi (up to 7 flights/week).
