Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X Signed SAF MOU with CAAT, Advancing Net Zero 2050 Goal

November 17, 2025 Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X, alongside high-level executives from a total of eight Thai airlines, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) to promote the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The ceremony took place at the Aswin Grand Convention Hotel.
The MOU was signed by Air Chief Marshal Manat Chuanaprayoon, Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, and representatives of the participating air operators, including Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X. This significant joint effort underscores the commitment of the Thai aviation sector to tangibly drive the adoption of SAF.
This collaboration is a clear demonstration of the industry's dedication to advancing Thailand’s aviation sector in alignment with global environmental standards. It serves as a crucial step towards achieving the ambitious goal of Net Zero carbon emissions in the aviation industry by 2050, consistent with international sustainability benchmarks and the mandates set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
