Thai AirAsia Shares Sustainable Aviation Insights for "Net Zero 2050" at Rangsit University

9 April 2026 – Thai AirAsia reinforced its commitment to sustainability by participating as a guest speaker at the "Aviation Thailand towards Net Zero 2050" seminar. The event was organised by the Aviation and Transportation Business Management Department, College of Tourism and Hospitality, Rangsit University, to help drive the Thai aviation industry toward global standards.
Mr. Winthas Da-Oh (Flight Dispatch Manager, Thai AirAsia) and Mr. Natt Tassanapremsin (Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand - CAAT) joined an in-depth panel discussion on airlines' readiness and adaptation toward Net Zero 2050, as well as government cooperation and support. The discussion highlighted three key pillars:
- Key to Success: Aligning airline adaptation with government policies and educating passengers on environmental costs, with youth acting as key
- Infrastructure and Carbon Market Development: CAAT is ready to support systems and infrastructure to connect Thai carbon credits (Premium T-VER) to be internationally recognised (CORSIA), while Thai AirAsia has cooperated with the Airlines Association to develop the fleet and plan flight routes for maximum energy efficiency.
- Meeting Future Challenges: Focus on flexible management to cope with volatility, while opening up to new technologies like "hydrogen energy" and creative ideas from the new generation, which will serve as important aids in reducing costs to move toward the 2050 goal.
This partnership highlights Thai AirAsia’s role as a responsible airline leader, inspiring the next generation toward a sustainable future.
